My Savings Yesterday!

Ok so I am really excited about my savings yesterday! My hubby and I went to the 4 hour only sale at K-Mart to put our kids Christmas Gifts on layaway and save on their buy one get one 50% off sale! We Saved a total of $102.25 on all our toys! YAY :D

At Kroger we saved a total of 80.60 cents using coupons and Kroger Digital Coupons....I did learn however that Kroger will only double coupons 50 cents and under and coupn over 50 cents wont double :o( boo for that but oh well. And we did save .40 cents a gallon on gas using our Kroger Card at the Kroger Gas station too....so it was almost like getting a free tank of gas!

At CVS my Happy Deal there was getting Dawn Dish Detergent for 50 cents! Now mind you it wasn't a huge bottle but many little bottles all add up to a good saving! I believe it was a 10 oz bottle for sale 99 cents and i used my 50 cent coupon and got it for 50 cents :D And since 99 cents was such a great deal I grabbed a few extra.

Also a great deal at CVS was their Purex Laundry Detergent 33 loads for 1.99 and that is with no coupon just a good sale!

So my total savings yesterday with sales and coupons in all the stores we went to was $224.57 cents! Now don't ask me how much we spent.....still trying to work on that one, but the good thing is we're saving.....one day i'll be able to get a Cart full of groceries for less than 20 dollars like those extreme couponers :o)

Tomorrow's Toy Deal at K-Mart 4 Hours Only

OK so as I've been doing my research, K-Mart has had the lowest prices on Toys and tomorrow they are having a 4 hour sale, 8AM - 12 Noon.....Buy one get one half off on ALL Toys! Plus they do layaway and I believe they will allow the toy layaway's at this discounted price! I will soon find out :o)

New to Couponing

So, I recently started couponing......I didn't even know "couponing" was an actual word till a few weeks ago :) After watching one of TLC's Extreme Couponing Episodes I was hooked!

I never realized people could save soooo much money and have fun doing it with coupons! Though I have no intention of clearing out entire shelves of products I do have an interest in easing the financial burden my family currently feels and sharing the deals I find with others.

Most of my blog entries will focus on deals in Morgantown WV where I live, but there may be some that are nationwide...we shall see....after all I'm still a Newbie ;)

So tune in often to see what I find as a Coupon Newbie and join me in the adventure! I'm also open to any suggestions or advice from more experienced couponers!

This Weeks Deal : Cereal at Kroger is 1.75 per box when you buy 4. You have to use your Kroger Card to get this deal and if you add a coupon to the stores already low price good till this Sat Nov. 19th you can get each box for under a dollar! Yippie! I'm stocking up on 8 this go round.

A note on Kroger Savings : You can log into Kroger.com and sign in to your account using your Kroger card and load digital store coupons right onto your card and the discount will be given at the register!
