Ok so I am really excited about my savings yesterday! My hubby and I went to the 4 hour only sale at K-Mart to put our kids Christmas Gifts on layaway and save on their buy one get one 50% off sale! We Saved a total of $102.25 on all our toys! YAY :D
At Kroger we saved a total of 80.60 cents using coupons and Kroger Digital Coupons....I did learn however that Kroger will only double coupons 50 cents and under and coupn over 50 cents wont double :o( boo for that but oh well. And we did save .40 cents a gallon on gas using our Kroger Card at the Kroger Gas station too....so it was almost like getting a free tank of gas!
At CVS my Happy Deal there was getting Dawn Dish Detergent for 50 cents! Now mind you it wasn't a huge bottle but many little bottles all add up to a good saving! I believe it was a 10 oz bottle for sale 99 cents and i used my 50 cent coupon and got it for 50 cents :D And since 99 cents was such a great deal I grabbed a few extra.
Also a great deal at CVS was their Purex Laundry Detergent 33 loads for 1.99 and that is with no coupon just a good sale!
So my total savings yesterday with sales and coupons in all the stores we went to was $224.57 cents! Now don't ask me how much we spent.....still trying to work on that one, but the good thing is we're saving.....one day i'll be able to get a Cart full of groceries for less than 20 dollars like those extreme couponers :o)

ReplyDeleteWe shop at Giant Eagle. They too do the double coupons 50 cents and under. But it's great when you have a coupon and the item is on sale. Yesterday I went shopping, spur of the moment, but I had coupons with me. I saved about $30 with a final total of $119. That's good for us! We are usually over $200. I don't know how families do it. It's just Mike and me and it's expensive. GE also gives fuel perks so I got 30 cents/gal on this bill. I always buy gift cards there for places we shop, like Lowes or restaurants. You get 20 cents/gal for every $50 you spend on gift cards.
I've been subscribing to "coupon" emails and have been able to print out a lot.
Might I suggest that if you shop online at all, sign up for EBates. And if you've never signed up, let me be your referral (I'll get extra $$) You can go to almost any shopping site imaginable and get a rebate. I think it's after $10 in rebates, they will mail you a check or give you gift cards.
It's well worth it! They double the rebates on select sites daily so you can get some good deals.
Also I just discovered a site called BradsDeals.com They are on FB, Twitter, email updates and their website. Really really good prices on brand name items. I've noticed that they sell sneakers at exceptionally good prices.

Wow Pam that is great! I just found out that Giant Eagle will double coupons up to 99 cents where as Kroger will only double up to 50 cents so YAY! I'll check out ebates and if I sign up i'll make sure and use you as a Referral! Thanks for your "two cents!" :o)
